About
Uncover forgotten history by candlelight. Followed by Q&A. We are running two talks this evening, for tickets to 'Candlelight History Talks: The History of Tudor Women: Witches to Queens' at 6:15pm, please click here. Ever since human beings have sailed the oceans, or fished along the coast, they have created stories about waters, and rituals and practices to protect them from its immense power and strength. In this short talk, we will find out about the stories sailors tell, from the Flying Dutchman to the magic of always having a cat on board, from whistling up a wind to never saying the word pig. Welcome aboard! Doors open at 8pm, talk starts at 8:30pm - come down early to grab a good seat!
