OVERRIDE Presented by Alethia Dance Company

In a dystopian world trapped in the suffocating grip of overconsumption, society is relentlessly conditioned by a storm of media, state propaganda, and deceptive advertising. At the centre of this apparatus sits The Executive, an omnipotent force controlling every narrative, keeping the populace compliant and subdued. Breaking through the noise, five brave journalists throw off The Executive's control, driven by a desperate need to uncover reality. They journey through four visceral environments, exposing the hidden human and environmental costs of modern life. As the journalists bring these hidden truths to light, the threatened Executive responds with a ferocious media storm designed to suppress the uprising and silence the dissidents forever. But this time, the public fights back. A wave of resistance swells, overpowering The Executive in a chaotic, explosive climax that plunges the entire world into utter darkness. Out of the blackout and silence, a new beginning dawns. Stripped of constant digital noise, humanity reclaims the transformative power of genuine physical and emotional connection. Yet, as the old regime crumbles, a haunting question looms over the horizon: When the screens go dark and the old power falls, will humanity choose true connection, or will a new regime take its place?
