MUBI FEST: BOUCHRA

Wrestling with writer’s block for her first film, **BOUCHRA**, a queer Moroccan coyote living in NYC, starts having difficult yet overdue phone calls with her mother in Casablanca that begin influencing the project. A heartfelt exploration of queerness wrapped in unexpectedly furry, animated packaging, this beguiling metacinematic animation is a work of profound imagination and sincerity. *MUBI FEST comes to London November 13-15. Great cinema, exclusive talks, live music, and more.*
